In this tour, you will visit the most important Orthodox churches in Apulia and in Naples. You will taste the real "pizza", very famous in all the world and tour in the most beautiful places in Apulia.

Day 1: arrival

Arrival at Naples airport Capodichino. A shortstop in the Neapolitan capital to taste the real Neapolitan pizza, the best pizza in the world as created in his hometown. After lunch, we will take the bus directed to Bari in 4-star hotel, where we will present the tour and will have a tasty dinner.

Day 2: Monte Sant'Angelo and Trani

Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning departure to Monte Sant'Angelo and a visit to St. Michael's Sanctuary, a World Heritage Site. You will be taken inside the sanctuary and the grotto underneath it with the guide that will talk about the ancient history of the village and the archangel appearances that have occurred over the centuries and that have made the town of Monte Sant'Angelo a place of pilgrimage since ancient times. After the visit to the church and a short walk through the streets of the village, we will get to a neighbouring farm, where we will taste a typical lunch. In the afternoon we will move to the coastal town of Trani, with a break to the Romanesque cathedral beside the sea and a short tour in the historic centre of the city. In the evening we will return to the hotel where a tasty dinner will be served.

Day 3: Castellana caves and Alberobello

Breakfast at the hotel and departure to the caves of Castellana, a complex of underground karst cavities. The visit to the caves will take place, accompanied by a guide, along a path of approximately 3 kilometres, 70 meters deep in amazing shapes and striking colours from the ceilings of stalactites and stalagmites floors. In the afternoon we will move to the heart of the Itria Valley in a guided tour to the town of Alberobello. You will be led through the streets of the "Capital of the Trulli", discovering the historical dwellings of the first inhabitants of the city in Apulia. The enthralling beauty and the great vastness of the Trulli still intact in this place, have brought UNESCO to recognise them as World Heritage. The visit will also include the entry in one of the Trulli to better understand the stone dry construction of which they are made. The visit will end with a wine tasting, during which you will be able to taste the local wines, products of local farmers. Finally departure to Bari, dinner at the hotel and free evening.

Day 4: Ostuni and Polignano a Mare

Breakfast in the hotel. In the morning departure to Ostuni, also known as the "White City." This definition comes from the quaint old town whose houses are painted white lime, thus making it a town with a particular charm. In addition, the city of Ostuni is also recognised for clean waters of its coast and the quality of services offered. In the afternoon you will arrive in Polignano a Mare and will be guided in the coastal city. The evening will culminate in a fantastic dinner based on fish, catch of the day, in one of the finest restaurants offering a fantastic sea view. Finally departure to Bari and free evening.

Day 5: Matera

Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning departure to Matera, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The visit to the Lucan town will consist in exploring the streets and shops in the old town, culminating in the attraction of the town, the Sassi. Ancient cavities cut into the rocks by the man who was using them as a shelter and habitation since prehistoric times and up to no later than 50 years ago. After the tour we will return to Bari, in the hotel for a rest and then into the main centre dedicated to free shopping.

Day 6: Bari

Breakfast in the hotel. In the morning you will be taken to the St. Nicholas Basilica to attend the Eucharistic mass. Once out of the basilica the guide will take you to the historic centre of "Bari Vecchia" (old Bari), where you will discover the history of the city, the scent and the colours that come from the most ancient houses. The tour through the narrow streets of the old town will culminate with a typical lunch in Bari. In the afternoon you will have free time to relaxation and shopping in an outlet located just outside the city of Bari. Finally return to the hotel, dinner and free evening.

Day 7: Naples

Breakfast at the hotel. Morning departure towards Campania to Naples reaching the Russian Orthodox Church of St. Andrew the Apostle. Located in the historical centre of the town, it belongs to the community of the Moscow Patriarchate. After the tour, we will move to 4-star hotel in Naples, where dinner will be served.

Day 8: departure

Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning departure to the Naples Capodichino airport for the return home.
